MemoCam’s covert operation allows pictures to be securely recorded when a crime takes place. MemoCam is already being used as a low cost surveillance tool by over 50% of UK Police Forces.

It captures high quality digital images, providing intelligence into repeat crimes such as domestic and commercial burglary, and volume crimes such as deception and planned distraction burglaries, and drug related crimes.

Once you have identified an area that has potential to become a repeat crime location, installing MemoCam and monitoring it’s output is simple.

The MemoCam Plus automatically records images of events onto a removable memory card when triggered by movement. The camera has internal video motion detection (VMD) and passive infra-red (PIR) detectors, and can also be activated by external triggers.

The VMD and PIR dual detection technology significantly increases the reliability of the motion detection, while reducing false alarms.

During set-up, VMD allows for user-defined areas such as windows or doors to be highlighted, and only when there is movement in these areas will image capture begin. This further reduces the volume of images that need to be looked at after an event to search for valuable intelligence.

Each image recorded is signed with the camera serial number and a time and date stamp. There are two recording modes: Fixed, with recording stopping when the card is full and Cyclic which records events successively, overwriting old images when the card is full (this is most commonly used by the Police, who retrieve the card only when notified of an incident).
