Following an upgrade from Backup Exec 11d to 2011 R2 we started seeing the following error on some failed backups. It transpires from Symantec tech support that the user which the Backup Exec services and the Resource Account use should be unique. Previously this backup server had been using the domain administrator account. They advise that you create a new account and add it to the groups Domain Admin, Exchange Organization Administrators and Organization Management. You will also need to change the user that the Backup Exec Services are running as, this can be done in the Backup Exec GUI from the Tools Menu > Backup Exec Services then the Services Credentials button. If in doubt give Symantec tech support a call.
Error category: Resource Errors
Error: e0000391 - Backup Exec attempted to back up an Exchange database according to the job settings. The database was not found, however.

Recently my youngest son decided that he would like to start playing on Xbox Live with his brother, so I attempted to setup another Xbox Live subscription. No matter what I attempted it would not accept payment for the account. After a frustrating hour I decided to try calling Microsoft customer services to see if they could help, where some little known information was divulged; the customer services rep informed me that it was actually cheaper to purchase a family membership rather than pay for two accounts and they would even credit the remaining months on the existing subscription to the family account. Unfortunately they were still unable to accept payment, but that was resolved in due course.

Came across an issue with one of our stock counting devices whereby on each boot the external amplifer device would be muted. After some investigation the fix was found. Open sound preferences in Gnome > go to Output tab and change the Connector to "Amplifier".

When we chose Globe Micro we had just suffered a severe systems failure. Globe got us back, up and running before there was any major impact on our business, and they were also able to fully restore our data.
Needless to say we have had no serious issues and consistent up-time since we moved to Globe
